The work is released under pseudonymous authorship, in the tradition of anonymous wisdom schools. “Memoriam represents collective memory — those who preserved knowledge through darkness.” Following GIDEE (1942–1947) and other anonymous wisdom keepers, pseudonymity preserves content over personality, for the mutual benefit of contributors and readers.
“The most dangerous thing you can do is prove that alternatives actually work,” states the opening epigraph. The Press exists to set out alternatives in working detail — practices for the development of consciousness, and models for community organizing and democratic governance — wrapped in speculative fiction.
